I want to hold your hand

I want to hold your hand – Backing Tracks

This is one of my favourite early Beatles songs, and apart from a steady back beat, it features a few interesting fills, so I decided to make this my first drum track made in BFD3, which I just purchased.

Tempo: 131 bpm (4/4)

Kit setup:

Kick: Gretsch Purple Kick

Snare: DLX Sonor Snare

Hi-hat: Paiste Signature Hihat

Hi Tom: DLX Backyard Tom Hi

Mid Tom: DLX Sonor Tom Mid (-2.52 semitones)

Crash 1: Bosphorus Crash 16 Stick

Cymbal 1: Bosphorus China 20 Stick

The song contains 13 distinct grooves, but some of them are variations and some only appear once. Every note has been ‘personalised’ to create variation, and I have used 30% AMG (randomizing loudness and tonal variation) to humanise it even more.

I added a bass track and this is the mix-down. The B-part sounds a bit odd when there are no other instruments or vocals, but it should be relatively close to the original.
