In 2012 the BBC showed the last series of The Killing (series III). The Guardian and its readers were so taken with Sarah Lund and her “odd” language that they asked me to do a video on Danish language. Apart from a mistake in the translation of “drabsmand” (which should have been “killer” not “perpetrator”), the video has been a huge success – who knows, maybe there will be more in the future…
